Camtasia 9 - How Do You Edit Video Info (Copyright, Author, Keywords, etc)?

In Camtasia 8, you would access the Video Information metadata (Title, Copyright, Author, Description, Keywords, etc.) using the menu View -> Project -> Project Information

How do you access this information in Camtasia 9?

According to the "Where is it now?" page (https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/articles/227109847--Camtasia-8-to-9-Where-is-it-now-)

The View -> Project -> Project Information window is under File -> Project Settings, but the new Project Settings only gives you basic canvas settings: width, height, and color.

If you are Producing a WMV file, there is a button in the Share process that brings it up. But if you are Producing a Local File (MP4 without the Smart Player), that button is never shown.

When I choose to share and create a video file, I click the Share button and choose Local File.

Configure options as desired on each screen and after clicking the Next > button three times I see this:

Hopefully it works the same on your end.

Cheers... Rick :)

Rick,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, that doesn't work if I choose an MP4 file (without the Smart Player):

That's it for MP4 output. If I choose "Custom", it brings me to this menu, which allows me to choose a different type. If I choose the MP4 - Smart Player or even the WMV, the Options button will appear and I can get to the Video Information window. But I don't want the Smart Player with my MP4.

In Camtasia 8, you could edit the info in the project and then choose Mp4 only in the Produce & Share, and it worked fine.

I found a workaround, by selecting MP4 - Smart Player and then turning off the player in the next screen, I'm able to render an MP4 file and access the Options button. It would be nice to have access to the Video Info within the project though.

More importantly, it would be great if the data I input in the Video Information actually made it into the finished product. Now that I have a solution, I see that most of the metadata is ignored. Here are the Options I am using:

The rendered output ignores nearly all of that information:

You see Title and Description are there.

Movie Creator and Copyright also made it through, but nothing else.

In Camtasia 8, a rendered video included the Title, Subtitle, Tags, Comments, Year, Genre, and URL. Possibly more too, those are just the ones I regularly used. Is there a reason Camtasia 9 ignores most of this?
