I need to display a series of text boxes to display along the C9 timeline. I've entered identical  position details for each callout, checked to ensure same font size etc.  But the text moves a little each time! How can I keep this from happening?

Have you tried copying the text box that has the position of the text you want then paste it to reuse? To do this, right click on the text box and select Copy (Ctrl+C) , then Paste (Ctrl+V).

When you say the text is moving, could it be an alignment issue? I find the best way to have consistent text placement is to align left and top.  If you have centered text, each box will display text in a different spot.  Without seeing your project that is my best guess.  I think your boxes might be aligned correctly but the text within them is aligned differently.
Also, if you have alot of text within a box C9 has a feature that reduces font size which might also make your font look different. If that is the case, you will need to make text box bigger.

GOOD LUCK!
