I just bought Camtasia 9 and I'm not happy with the interface because It is difficult for me to read the screen (everything is black without shades of gray). I'm used to using Camtasia 8 at work and had no problems with it. Is there any way to lighten up the interface?

There are many who are just as Unhappy with the UI. There have been a lot of complaints.
The short answer is they are taking it under advisement but the firm they hired to give them advise just advised them that basically every one else is using this UI. They actually said to us they paid for this advise. We have yet to get any answer as to when they might Fix It at least with an option to some better alternative for those of us with older eyes.

Microsoft Office 2013 has the opposite problem.  The interface is so "white" that it is difficult to tell where bars, buttons and other boundaries are.  But Microsoft offered a solution.  You can make the UI darker in the account preferences.  Hey Camtasia crew, what about an option to lighten the UI up a bit?

I fully agree that it is DIFFICULT to read. It is not just older eyes, but anyone with a problem seeing contrast. The light gray just isn't light enough. SnagIt allows you to change the UI, we need the same option in Camtasia.
