Camtasia 9 & manual feedback.

Hello,

I own Camtasia 9 and i like it a great deal but today I had to contact support.
I was trying to do something so i search Techsmith website and found a Keyboard hotkey & Shortcuts file. https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/article_attachments/212037247/Camtasia_9-3_Hotkeys.pdf

Problem is this is not a complete list and for people who don't know the software I had to contact support for help as there are commands missing from the list.

The command i needed and did not know was Shift+E and support gave it to me.

I would like to request Techsmith update the PDF file so it lists all shortcuts for people like me who do not know all the features, please.

Thanks in advance
Fred

Thanks for the link.  What was Shift-E used for?  (I wouldn't want to test only to find it erased all configuration files.... :D)

Shift+E is the hotkey for extending the frame of the selected media (Windows only).

Fred, unless they've already updated the PDF, I do see that hotkey listed in the guide. So I'm checking with you to see if maybe the "Shift+E" was a typo on your part (?) I do want to make sure we include all of the available hotkeys in that document.

Hello,

According  to what support told me Shift+E is to extend out a frame.

So If you have a video but want a single frame to be extended out so a picture would be shown if you added some audio after the video file played.

Hope that makes sense.
I suck at explaining things..

Thanks
Fred

No need to apologize, Fred. I'm glad you brought it up as it at least lets us know that it's tough to find. I just wanted to make sure we had the hotkey you were looking for in there. Please let us know if you have any more questions about using Camtasia, and good luck with your videos!

I've also used the Edit...Preferences...Hot Keys to switch my favorite keys (like E for extend frame, M for marker, Z for add animation keyframe, etc.) back to what I'm used to using...

Hi and thanks for submitting your idea/feature request!

As outlined in our New Community Processes post, feature requests are open to voting up through the 1st of the month, where we will then tally the votes and present the findings to our product teams. To ensure we have the most accurate data, on the 1st of the month we will be locking the threads that were listed in the Feature Request Round-up that was posted on the 15th. Once we have reviewed the submitted feature requests, our product team(s) may respond to the request, and if that is the case then that thread will then be unlocked for further discussion.

In the event that your idea is not selected for a response feel free to resubmit the idea and share it with your colleagues to garner as much exposure as possible!

Thank you again for your idea and we look forward to hearing more from you!
