Hi all,
I just recently upgraded to Camtasia 9. If I save a project, but do not export it, when I try to finish it a few days later it will not open the file. It has an error and says it needs to be saved as a .tscproj or .camproj file, which it is.

However, if I finished a project and had already exported it, then I can open the file with no issues.

This is really annoying as I basically have to finish a file every time instead of saving and coming back. Does anyone know how to fix this?

They only suggestion they had was that the .mp4 files I was using were on servers instead of my personal computer. I know that Camtasia 9 has the warning about that, but I had zero issues doing this with Camtasia 8. We'll see if this solves the issue.

as a best practice, always copy remote source files to your local system drive, then use the copies in your projects; editor and production will perform much better
