Camtasia application window size behavior

I searched, and found an old post about this, so I'll revisit this issue here...

When opening Camtasia, then opening an existing project file, the application window consistently resizes to 'full screen', which is very annoying. Some details...
I'm using a 4K monitor, Camtasia version 2019.0.7 (from the August 22 2019 update), with hardware acceleration enabled.

Typically, when I start the Camtasia application, then select 'new project', the application window size is retained from a previous session, but once the application is running, selecting 'file/open', then choosing a file to open always causes the application window to switch to 'full screen', blocking out whatever other windows I had visible.

This needs to be brought to the developer's attention and corrected. Also, I don't see any options to change or restrict this behavior in the 'preferences' dialog.

Am I doing something wrong here, or is this just a native behavior that has been ignored?

Thanks for bringing this up. I find the "maximize" disturbing, because I'm trying to multitask and have several windows open at once, unrelated to Camtasia.
You'll probably receive a response telling you to open a ticket with Tech Support in order to include this in a list of requests for improvement. Camtasia does not routinely follow our conversations, leaving the User Forums to the Users to solve each other's problems.

Thank you for the advice. I just submitted a new ticket. Hopefully, this gets some attention, as it's an unusual behavior for software to default to 'maximize' exclusively when opening an existing file.
