Camtasia Codecs

I'm currently using BlackMagic Design Video Assist to save files and they typically use Avid and ProRes Codec formats for the .MOV files. This does not include the H264 codec that is being used by Camtasia. Will Camtasia offer other professional high end codecs for the .MOV import containers in the future?

QuickTime files are never going to be nearly as compatible as MP4s. I'm guessing that has to do with its Apple origins. I would suggest downloading Handbrake (free) or Adobe Media Encoder, regardless of what software you use so you can easily convert it to H264. If you need an alpha channel, you can use .AVI in Camtasia. I haven't had any issues with AVI (RGB+Alpha) although the files are huuuuge haha

All that said, I would love to see more compatibility with MOV files as a lot of stock video is uploaded in that format and having to stop and convert it to H264 is kind of a pain.
