Camtasia Crash

Somehow, whenever I hit playback on timeline and it reaches the 44 second mark, Camtasia closes immediately without showing me any error. I tried saving the project as another file but the same thing happened. All my media files are not corrupted in any way either.

So I'm wondering what is going on? It only happens when the playhead hits the 44 second mark.

NOTE : Even when I moved the playhead with my mouse manually towards the 44 second mark, it crashes. :(

What version of Camtasia?
What transitions or other is at the 44sec mark.
Place a ticket with Techsmith for help.
Try removing everything except the original video and see what happens. Make sure you DON'T save it

Reboot the computer and try again.

Thanks my dude, after browsing through all the layers and deleting them one by one (process of elimination), I found one of the text layer causes the crash. But I still don't know how its transition or properties can cause such crashes? Regardless it's fixed now. :D

When I experience this, I usually select the clips on either side of the crash point and do an "update media" to re-link to the source file.  If the source files are in many different locations, I try to consolidate them before doing this.  I also remove/replace text overlays (which apparently resolved the issue for you, in this case).

BTW, I experience crashes more often when dragging through the timeline than when I click on a specific location and zoom in.  This seems to happen with Camtasia v8.6 often, but not with other video editing software.
