Camtasia doens't play correct section of MP3 audio. Is 2019 version better?

I'm currently using Camtasia 2018 (Windows). It's a known issue that variable bitrate MP3 files don't always play nice with Camtasia. (see here). It seems to be happening more and more. When I play the video one time (inside Camtasia) it clips off 1-3 words. When I play it again, it plays just fine. When I publish/export the video, the audio is usually missing a word or two.

The "solution" offered by TechSmith is to convert the MP3 to a WAV file, which is easy enough, but not ideal. My question: Has this been fixed in the 2019 version?

Confirmed. Camtasia still sucks with MP3s.
