Camtasia for Mac how to preserve Fade In/Out settings when adjusting Clip Speed?

Apols if this is covered somewhere (honestly I couldn't figure out how to sort the 9000 or so related postings by date).

I saw a video for the Windows version where the fade in/out was on a separate track than the video track allowing original fade in/out settings to be preserved. I can't seem to do this on the Mac.

Looking for guidance!
Thanks
Tony.

Hi there - Hopefully I understand your need correctly. It is true that you want the duration of your fade/in out to remain the same even after you change the clip speed? If so my suggestion would be to remove the fades and apply clip speed first. Then when you apply your fades they should be the same duration as others in your video.

Thanks for the suggetion. However, I've tried this. And while the visual length of the fade-in icon now appears "normal", when I export the video, the fade-in duration appears to be proportionate to the clip speed. E.g., if I use clip speed to reduce the clip duration by 50%, I find the fade-in approximately doubles irrespective of whether I add the clip speed first or the fade-in first.
