Camtasia for Mac - Video Feed issue

Not sure if this is a tech or user issue lol.

I have recorded a screencast on another device and then needed to use a different device for editing purposes. I successfully copied the files to another device and stored them in the same folder however when opening the raw file I can see the video file in the media bucket however it is not visible in the timeline or canvas. Please see the screencast below for a better understanding of my issue. Thanks

Yea, I have pretty much the same issue. I can see it though in the bottom part of camtasia, I guess it's called the timeline. But it won't allow me to edit it. Hmmmm

Yes it is called the Timeline Michael. I can edit anything in the timeline however the video is not showing in the canvas.
Interesting since I can create a recording and edit successfully on my regular device however saving the file from the other device is where the issue is for me.

It's hard to be sure, but it *looks* like the video is corrupted. Is it possible that something went awry during the copy? Maybe it got cut short, or....
Otherwise, I agree, getting ahold of Tech Support would be the best call, so they can try to have a look at the file.

Are both your 'regular device' and 'alternate device' both running the same updated version of Camtasia?  Are both mac versions (i.e., not editing on windows then opening on mac version)? I've never recorded a screen in that super-duper widescreen format, are we sure Camtasia likes it? The fact that the trec file size is 4+ gigs suggests the data is there but as suggested could be corrupted. Is the trec file in question accessible/viewable on your "other" editing machine - or is it no longer accessible via either machine?  If it is, can you try to export (zip) the media content from the working machine and then import them into the non-working machine? Good luck - looks like a long recording that would be nearly impossible to reproduce.
