Camtasia - green screen (color removal feature) This feature needs to include a masking tool. Not always are the colored backgrounds 100% covering the image area. The feature you offer is simple and effictive. With a masking tool, this would improve the feature a great deal. Ideally, the user could create a mask of any shape and it would render the outside areas blank to the lower track. Thanks

Masking would certainly help.
Camtasia for MAC has had it for years.
I voted yes because the feature is versatile and could be used for many things.

What's really needed is an actual Chroma Key filter.

Remove a Color is a color filter. It's not ideal for green screen work.

Remove a color doesn't do a good job of keying out green screen in Premier Pro, After Effects, Sony Vegas and other editing programs either. It's not the editors fault, it's the filter.

You would be better off doing your green screen work in another program that supports masks, masks you can animate and Chroma Key.
Then, you could import that footage into Camtasia if need be.

These capability's may come to Camtasia Windows in the future.
