I am a long term Camtasia user.
The Zoom - Touch Up My Appearance and Virtual Background features are visually stunning.
How can I access similar features easily within Camtasia.
I look a million times better on Zoom, than I do on Camtasia - there needs to be a painless and quick way to do this in Camtasia without the effort of a 'real green screen'

You could record yourself using zoom with a virtual background applied.
Import that recording into Camtasia.
I can't speak as to  the quality of the recording?I've never tired it.

But if you're waiting for TechSmith to develop virtual backgrounds . Or improve capabilities in that department.
My guess is your in for a very long wait.
Sorry for the pessimism, its not what I would call in their wheelhouse/set of priorities.

Regards,Joe

There is NO substitute for the green screen, even on Zoom. The Zoom viral backgrounds are at best iffy it you don't have a green screen. And bringing the recording created with Zoom will not improve it.
Green screens are inexpensive. Try it. It is awesome!

Theres no substitute for "Professionally" keyed out backgrounds.

Generally speaking, webcams are high resolution low quality cameras. A poor camera choice for green screen removal.
Thats what most Camtasia users are using.

If you don't move around much. Virtual backgrounds work well.

There isn't a lot of green fringing around the subject like poor keying leaves behind.
It's not dependent on high quality even lighting.
Less subject to the problems associated with shadows.

If you have room to work comfortably. Got a good camera and proper lighting, green screen, etc.
Theres one more obstacle to clear.
Camtasia uses "Remove a Color" which is a throwback to yesteryear. Its the bargain basement tool of my childhood. Well, I'm 60.It must be a digital filter. It wouldn't actually go back that far.LOL
It's not a true chroma key filter with advanced adjustments. Its rudimentary at best.

Virtual backgrounds will improve and are much more convenient.
I'm not a fan or advocating for them.
Get used to it. The platform is sure to explode.
