Camtasia lagging too much.

I've been using camtasia for quite some time now, I've been looking for a report page that has an answer to fix the preview and timeline lag that I've been experiencing over the years of having the product. I can't go for a refund or anything due to me not being able to find the password of my account which I bought camtasia on.. I've tried newer trials and verisons of camtasia and they all seem to suck with this problem. This program sucks to edit with unless your willing to spend an extra hour on your edits waiting for the program to load. An editing program should be able to take a gigabyte or two of photos and videos without making itself crash, I am that serious about this I might go and actually buy premiere pro with my savings.

Overall, somebody PLEASE tell me how to fix this god damn issue with this crappy lagging piece of nothing software and give me a permanent fix. I have a pc with strong specs and just under 200gbs of ssd space left.. And it still is lagging, please techsmith make a version which doesn't lag when you don't use super computers at your headquarters...

I found two things that help with this: experimenting with the video card options (Camtasia poorly uses my AMD graphics card but uses the built-in Intel graphics reasonably well) and using my untouched camera video files. Making those changes rendered Camtasia usable in a mid-range Dell laptop and somewhat usable in a cheap Lenovo laptop.

They royally screwed up Camtasia is all I can say and all I see here that verifies it on the deaf ears of Tech Smith a very much out of touch company that once seemed to be on top of it but no more obviously.

Does anyone here know of a better competitor that has filled the hole that Tech Smith has left wide open? I would be much interested to go elsewhere seeing how Tech Smith has no clue how to keep current paying users happy. I wish I had something good to say but I downloaded every update and it just keeps getting worse.
