Hey Guys & Gals,
I am running the latest version of Camtasia with all updates and i have a question about features and recording.
If there a way to record a game with audio and 2 different microphones all at same time so each audio would be in its own track?
So game audio in track 1 mic 1 in track 2 and mic 2 in track 3.
I know after I record mic one and game I can then add a narration track but was looking for a way to record multiple devices at same time.
Please let me know.
Thanks in advance

I have a suggestion that may work for you which I had to do on my cam once.
I have windows 8.1 but it should help in the same way.
I am not a tech and only a person who has had similar problems.
1st open device manager and when issue happens see if there is a conflict with the device or other devices.
2nd option i would try is unplug the webcam and plug into a different usb port as it will install on that port fresh.
If that does not work you could force the usb to reload the drivers.
Open device manager and go to Universal Serial Bus controller and right click the webcam item and uninstsall. Then go to Sound, Video and Game controlles section and find webcam there and also uninstall it.
Once that is done unplug the webcam and restart.
Wait till system is fully restarted and plug the webcam back in.
It will reinstall the drivers and you should be good to go.
As said that process worked on windows 8.1 but should also work on 10.
Hope it helps if you try it..

It begins to record my voice, but almost immediately the sound gets quickly distorted, and then completely cuts-out, NOT RECORDING ANY VOICE....
Thanks for your help but it seems that I have isolated the problem to the USE of the Logitec camera coupled with the sound......Not sure where to go from here?

NOT SURE WHAT THIS MEANS? I discover the problem when I SAVE and PLAYBACK the recording.....Should I be testing something else?

When device manager is open start your program that you use that gets the distortion.
Start recording and then once recording is started look in device manager and see if any of your devices shows up with a red x or other symbol. So while the recording is running for if you see no conflict in device Manager you can rule out a conflict.
At that point once you have recorded enough (as much as you normally do) to see if the recording you just made is distorted. If it is distorted you can rule out a conflict.
Then you can do the other steps:
2nd option i would try is unplug the webcam and plug into a different usb port as it will install on that port fresh.
If that does not work you could force the usb to reload the drivers.

Hope that makes sense now.
Good luck.

I'll continue to try to solve Camtasia issue, but I think I've isolated it to an audio setting on either Camtasia or Logitech because audio and video working fine on Logitech platform.
And I didn't consciously change any settings so it's a mystery to me....
Thanks again
