Camtasia lost my video

Camtasia lost my video while I was editing it. I had it stored in a Windows 10 OneDrive folder. One part of the recommendation from the helpdesk was to save it locally. Has anyone experienced this with Windows 10 before?

I have never experienced that. I have always saved my productions locally and also in ScreenCast. I do this just to feel secure about having a extra backup.

My question is why you are using Camtasia?  In my inbox I receive about 3 to 4 of these calls for assistance and my take (my personal view) is that it questions the suitability of the underlying technology

Are the NLEs better suited to working with media not housed on a local drive? 

I've not worked enough with Adobe Premiere to have an intelligent opinion.

Have you searched your computer for the file?
Camtasia may have saved the file for you.
In the newest version if you click Edit, at the bottom click Preference,
then at the bottom again select  "Open AutoSave Folder".
It may be in a different location if you have a previous version.

Do you mean Camtasia actually deleted the video? Or that the Camtasia project is no longer linked to it, and you have to re-connect it?
