You have a couple of good options.
First, yes, you could choose "Export for Windows", and will get a zipped archive.
But, I recommend just zipping up the project file itself. On windows, you cannot do this so easily, due to the way Windows stores files (long story). But on your mac, you can just do this:

Find the project you saved in Finder.
Right-click on it and choose "Compress myproject.cmproj"

You can keep this (slightly smaller) zip file as your archive. To get the project back, just double-click on the zip file, and it will unzip right there. You don't need to use the "Import zipped project" feature for this (and, it wouldn't work anyway).

Wow, That is very helpful thank you. Just to confirm, when I use this "compress Mac feature does it zip all the media for the project as well? and another quick question, if I did decide to zip for windows.. will I be able to open ( or import ) that file in Camtasia for mac?

Good question. On Mac, by default, all of your media is saved inside of that ".cmproj" file. (here's a secret: it's really a folder, but it looks like a file, because that's a trick Macs have). On windows, that's not the case, so you need to use the exporting options to 'round up' all the media and save it into that archive.

Yes, if you do "zip for windows" from Camtasia for Mac, you can re-import that back by choosing "Import Zipped Project..."

Do I have the ability to take 28 project files and zip them into one folder or is this option only available for individual project files?

I would do that using the second method above; put all of your project files in one folder, right-click on that folder (in Finder), and compress them all together at once.
