Camtasia Mac Suggestions

Humble suggestions from a loooog time user:

#1. Improve quality limits of video and audio output. Why? The Web is just getting better and faster, quality video (1080p, 4k) is quickly becoming the norm.

For example: the video bitrate output is limited to 30,000 kbits/sec ... it would be great if that limit could be increased considerably, since when posting video to say Vimeo or YouTube, it is recompressed again.

I do a lot of importing and editing of 4k video in Camtasia, and it handles it like a champ ... but, it's a shame the quality gets smashed down to 30,000 kbits. I typically import in 150 mbit video ... so it would be nice if we could output at at least 60,000 kbits.

Same for audio; how about supporting 24bit audio.

Finally, the ability to save settings on effects, visual effects and otherwise. It is tiresome to always have to dial-in the same settings over and over again.

Thanks for a great product.

Hey Stefan, I believe using the quicktime output, you can export to uncompressed apple ProRes, and then bit rate wouldn't be an issue. The h264 output in quicktime doesn't say what bit rate it uses, so I don't know if that one would help, but it could be worth a try.
