Camtasia needs a "jump to marker" option to make the quizzing mode more useful. That would avoid the need for user inter interaction to jump back to the timeline

Not sure what your after?

If you have markers on the timeline. And add a quiz question. Based on the answer, right or wrong. The viewer can be directed to a marker. The same one or a different one. With different being the a choice that makes more sense.

Is that the functionality you seek? Or am I confused?

This is Camtasia Windows, I can't speak for the MAC version.

Regards,Joe

Thanks but I think you misunderstood. I was looking for a way to have the video jump to a marker as soon as the video gets to a given spot on the time line WITHOUT having to press anything (no user interaction). One can do this using hotspots but that requires the user to press a key. Can one do this without any user action?

One might ask why one needs this. Such an option creates all sorts of possibilities for a creative video lesson. It would allow the developer to insert multiple small response video snippets at the end of a full length video that each contain different explanations of a given concept. After that snippet is watched to video could then automatically return back to the main video at whatever spot is appropriate.

As Camtasia doesn't offer this, you might consider taking a look at Adobe Captivate. Captivate is like PowerPoint on steroids. But because it's slide based, you are able to program actions that occur at the end of each slide.

Cheers... Rick :)
