Can you provide some specifics about what you are seeing?  How is it not working?

We have been keeping an eye on the 10.11 betas.  We will make sure that Camtasia for Mac works on the final release of 10.11, but we cannot promise it will work with the betas.  It is always possible that the next release of the beta will fix whatever problem you are seeing.

FYI: Public Beta 4 and Camtasia 2. Starting a recording of a sized region and the main screen locks up hard. No way to reset. Have to power off to reset.

Having the same issues. Only way to quit the app is to open up a second Desktop and do force quit other than that you have to physically down power the computer.
I noticed this when I pressed shift/cmd 2 to pause and then start over

I had to abandon the El Capitan beta because I use the Mac and Camtasia frequently.

same problem here using Beta 7 El Capitan. Everything is fine until I press record, after that Camtasia locks up. I should mention that I am using 2 screens. What happens is that I open Camtasia and move it to my second screen and then attempt to start a recording on my 1st screen. Camtasia starts the recording and immediately locks up but not just the application. I can't do anything on that second screen unless I force quit Camtasia.

Ok so I've narrowed down the problem. Apparently there seems to be an issue with Camtasia and Beta 7 with dual monitors.

Here's how to reproduce:

Mac Mini
El Capitan Beta 7
Dual Monitors (One on HDMI the other on MiniDisplay (Thunderbolt))
Launch Camtasia
Click on Record
The dialog opens which presents you with recording options so you can pick a monitor to record from.
Once you select the monitor, the monitor that has the Camtasia app completely locks up leaving Camtasia pretty much useless because even if I attempt to move Camtasia to another monitor it doesn't recover from being locked.

The only resolution at this point is to disconnect my second monitor and use Camtasia with only 1 monitor which makes it kinda difficult to work because I always used the other monitor for notes.

I know that Apple is making tons of updates in the way of multiple monitors so I'm sure they broke something, just hoping that its a bug that they will fix with the next update, otherwise, Camtasia will need an update.

Camtasia does not work on my Mac Book Pro with El Capitan public beta 5. No multiple monitors are required to reproduce the problem. It just doesn't work.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
Startup laptop
Startup Camtasia
Click record.
Select a window to record.
Click record.
Screen locks up, only way out is hard reset with the power key.

fortunately I have not updated my laptop Macbook 7 years old.  I’ll wait till my primary is working
with Camtasia before I update my Macbook.

I have a brand new MacBook which ran Camtasia 2 fine until moving from Yosemite to El Capitan Release Candidate. Same hard-lock-up issue as everyone else.

Camtasia for Mac version 2.10.4 is now available.  It fixes the issues people were seeing on OS X version 10.11, aka El Capitan.  The current version should prompt you for an update, or you can go to https://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.html to download it directly.

2.10.4 is not yet available in the Appstore.  We are waiting for Apple's approval.  Hopefully it will be available in a day or so.

Camtasia is not working in El Capital version 10.11.3. I see in other comment about an update, but I can't find a free update for actual Camtasia clients here in Techsmith neither in App Store, how can I solve it? Thanks

Which version of Camtasia are you currently running?  The latest version is 2.10.4.  It is available on our website, https://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.html, and it is available in the AppStore.  It is a free upgrade if you currently have version 2.0 or later.
