Any idea on how I can create a split text effect in Camtasia (PC)?
You can see it done in Adobe After Effect here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrFkifta5wM
On PC I can't create masking effects:-(
I can creater the effect for a Head Title and a Subtitle in a sequence but not simultaneously

is this what you're looking to do?

made this in Camtasia using animations

did not bother to "fine tune" the effect

Not exactly. I don't want any overlapping between the 2 text lines. I want them both to appear from the middle. One slides up and the other slides down. You can do it in Adobe After Effects using masks. I probably has to do that...

Likely you could do it by having three or more layers of the same video. The first layer would be the full video. The second layer would have the video cropped to the halfway point (top or bottom) and the third layer would have the video cropped the opposite way. Then you just ensure the text slides away from one of the layers. You would also need to manipulate the visibility of the layer as needed.

Cheers... Rick :)

I have a few tutorials on creating Kinetic Text with Camtasia, but not one specifically to solve your problem.  I will work on another tutorial now that I see your question!  If you want to see some more ideas on how to do Kinetic Text stuff with Camtasia, check out this video:  https://youtu.be/KAyGKZpDM3I .

oldj ...

you can fine tune the animations so that there is no overlapping, etc.  again, I just didn't spend the time making it look perfect

just requires moving and cropping at same time

perhaps give it a try?

I'll give it a try, I was going down that path, but I wasn't satisfied. I'll give it one more try!
