Camtasia Quiz replay last section

Hello,

I use the quiz feature in Camtasia 8.6. When the question pops, I want to enable the user to replay the last section (last 4 or 5 seconds) to hear the question again. I can enable this in the production settings. However, when the users click on "Replay last section", it takes the video back either to the beginning of the video (for the first quiz) or to the last quiz question. I would like to choose the time to take back the user (for instance a marker).

I tried to add a hotspot instead but when the question pops we can't click on it.

Thank you very much,

Alex

add your hotspot before the quiz pops

otherwise ...

use multiple, single question quizzes in same project

this tutorial was made with CS9, but the methods described should work for CS8

you'll need to work past the 1st question in the sample project shown in the tutorial, in order to see how the technique works

another option ...

Thank you very much.
However, the problem remains. I have three quizzes in my video. When the user clicks on "Replay last section", it brings them to the last quiz (as in your tutorial). I would like to bring them to a marker instead. I don't want them to replay the whole time since the last quiz, I just want them to see the last 3 or 4 seconds.
Thanks,
Alex

you'll need to put a hotspot right before the quiz location; put the question text on the hotspot; the hotspot can be a go-to-marker, or go-to-time; that way, you'll go to whatever location you want

Thanks. That's what I tried. However, when the questions pops out, it comes out in front of everything else and the hotspot is thus not clickable...Maybe it's because of version 8.6...

the end of the stop-at-end hotspot has to be BEFORE the quiz fire location [try at least 1 second offset]

for best results, do custom productions, and set keyframes to 1 second [makes for better hotspot performance]

ohhh ok I see ! I was trying for the user to see both "take quiz" and "replay last section" when the quiz pops out.

If I place the hotspot before the quiz, it will ask the user if they want to replay the last section. If they don't want to, I guess I have to provide another option (continue). Then, the quiz will pop-out and they will have to click on "take quiz". Is that correct ?

It's a good solution but the user has to click twice to take the quiz (continue and take quiz).

Thanks again !

Or is it possible to automatically open a quiz (instead of asking the user to click on "Answer") ?

you could set the hotspot to NOT stop-at-end; that way, if the viewer does not click it, the will automatically go on to the quiz
