Camtasia Recorder - Separate Installer Package?

Is there a separate installation package available for the Camtasia Recorder? I am not sure what the licensing implications are however there are many cases where I would like to record videos on systems that will not be used for video production.

I often use virtual machines to record product demos as I can ensure that they are in a state where I can roll back to a snapshot of a known working state.

I often use the recorder directly inside the virtual machine to create the video, then take the TREC file and copy it to my primary computer where I do all of my editing and production.

It would be great to have a package where I can only install the recorder. Since the TREC files are effectively useless without having the full Camtasia package, I would hope there are no licensing implications to using it exclusively on other systems.

I believe that Recorder is always bundled with the Camtasia editor; so no separate Recorder [only] installer

That's correct, though there is a trial if it's sort of a one-time thing on that machine. If it's a limited number of devices, then purchasing a few more licenses would be your only option for now.
In either case, thank you for the suggestion.

This would be a highly valuable feature..., for customers and TechSmith.  We have a 15+ thousand person company decentralized throughout the world, and only a few editors.

Co-workers are using Open Broadcasting Software (OBS) to record their technical overviews and tips, and then send to editors to pump up the experience.

There are a ton of custom key commands used in our Linux deployment, and Camtasia Recorder's ability to capture all of those key combinations is very valuable - in addition to the other streams of data, and leveraging the PPT Plugin for managers to exploit their Headers and Notes is ideal.

Make the Camtasia Recorder/PPTX Plugin free for distribution, and you'll likely see an uptick in Camtasia use.

If this is not something TechSmith will pursue, what are reasonable alternatives to achieve better capture of strems on systems that do not have Camtasia installed?
