Camtasia refund request

Hi, I purchased camtasia 2019 on april 25th. I worked on it for 10 days and the software was not working well and froze after working for a while. I wanted to return the product but I totally forgot to do that. I submitted a return request on May 22nd (27 days) but no reply from them yet. 30 days return window closes today. I have two questions, do they refund if I submitted the return request before 30 days but not processed yet. Can I deactivate or uninstall the software before the return request is approved? What should I do?

I would wait for an answer from TechSmith; did you reach out to Sales Department?

I contacted the chat support two days ago. They said it return team will process it. I didnt contact the sales department though. I am afraid that there is holiday weekend in the US. I don't know what to do actually.

I would probably take a screen shot of your forum submission complete with the date on the taskbar showing.I doubt you'll need it. But it couldn't hurt to have proof.

You could uninstall the software if desired, it won't function after the trial expires. So theres little reason to keep it installed.

Covid-19 is throwing a huge monkey wrench into to works. Have you submitted a refund request directly to Sales?

I enjoy this software a lot. In my case, it works very well. When I try to use external drives it doesn't like it particularly (but they say that the data should be on an internal hard drive). I also run Vegas Pro 17 but find Camtasia much quicker for many projects.

Hi Joe, Thanks for your suggestion. I submitted the return request through this link https://www.techsmith.com/about/return.asp

I will do the refund request in the sales department as well

you indicated you purchased Camtasia 2019 on Apr 25; I believe Camtasia 2020 was released on April 28

since you're not using the 30 day trial [?], I'd leave 2019 installed until you hear from TechSmith

also, you might be entitled to a free upgrade to 2020 because of the timings here; TechSmith should be able to address this

finally, it might be worth it to determine why you were having problems with the app; TechSmith support should be able to assist in determining the cause

thanks for the screenshot; issue may be due to the specific project your're working on

could you do another screenshot showing entire project at ctrl-shift-7 max zoom out, displaying all or as many tracks as possible?

could you briefly describe the media you have on timeline?

than ks, but could you do another, showing all 7 tracks [minimize track heights, canvas area needs to be small]?

it needs to be a full screen screenshot so we can see entire loaded project, and the project needs to just fill the timeline space

looks like the video media are trec files? what type are audio files?
