Wasted 2 hours of my life to work on a video with this garbage program now every time I get to 61% it tells me "error occurred on the following clip" and there is nothing wrong with the clip I played it 5 times and nothing is wrong with it. I can tell you right now I will not be purchasing this piece of crap you guys call a video editor. Windows movie maker works better than this crap.

Sorry to read of your difficulties and unprofessional post. If you could back up and share some specifics, somebody here might be able to help you figure out the problem in your environment. Something on your end is causing the error, this is not a normal outcome.

I don't work for these guys but I have made hundreds of good clips over a 10 year period.

Well, for starters, although Camtasia DOES do some "video editing", that is not what it was ever intended for. Sure, it really makes video editing easier for many folks, but it's roots are totally in editing the screen recordings its companion application (Camtasia Recorder) creates.

There are many variables that occur when you are attempting to edit videos from other sources.

So what exactly are you attempting to edit?

Cheers... Rick :)

(Note that I'm not affiliated with TechSmith in any way, I'm just a happy user of their products)

I think you probably hit on it Rick; some external format (who-knows-what) rather than CS natively recorded clips being the source of the problem.
