I'm trying to do a split screen video but, I get a tiny, solid line running down between my videos. It looks really bad. Does anyone know how I can get rid of them?
I am using version 8.0.0 (Build 878). Yes, they are 3 separate videos. I don't have the cropping functionality in my version. I had to use a separate tool to crop the videos and then I merged them together in Camtasia.
I'm thinking the artifacts are probably baked into crops you applied outside of Camtasia. You can upgrade to the latest version of Camtasia 8 for free. Or any version in between if you want to.I don't recommend using 8.0.0 because there are so many changes and bug fixes applied to the later versions. DO you get the same artifact if you overlap the videos? You could try placing the center video on the uppermost track. Then stretch the video a few pixels to the left and the right to cover the edge of the other videos.Does that Help? Stretching it a few pixels shouldn't distort the video enough to notice.
