I just downloaded Camtasia 9 for Windows 10. Whenever I went to stop/finish a recording it would stick on "creating video file 0%". I would then have to force quit, reopen, and (hopefully) recover my file. I searched for a long time on different forums for a solution, and came across this:
This can occur when recording with any codec other than TSCC and choosing a dimension that is not a multiple of 4. As a workaround, in Camtasia Recorder click on Tools > Options > Program tab and check the box for "Force region to multiple of 4".

This seemed to do the trick! (NOTE: I have a Cintiq, so maybe this had something to do with it??)
Just thought I would post this because it took a lot of time trying to hunt this down. Hope this helps someone!

The "force region to multiple of 4" option sets a required guideline for the resolution of the video to be divisible by for (i.e. 1920x1080 rather than 1919x1081). This can possibly provide improved compression.
If you'd like I can reach out to one of our developers to see if they can go a bit more in-depth on the technical aspects of that option. Would you like me to see what I can find on the more technical aspects?
