Camtasia Studio 2020: how to fix callouts to appear in a certain place?

Hi. I'm preparing a demo video with many annotations. The problem I'm having is that I have to resize and fix the position of each callout which is extremely difficult and I can't be sure that they are all aligned correctly. I found below post in this forum which had a tutorial in one of the answers but I couldn't access the link.

I got in OK.  Anyway, the way I use (this may not suit your way of working) is to keep my playhead at the correct place in the timeline, scroll back through the time line (using Shift + scroll wheel) find a previous annotation, copy it and paste it.  It will appear at the playhead (which you cant see at the moment) so just press the space bar to start playing and it will jump you back to your playhead.  Maybe you may prefer to set a marker by the annotation you copy a lot

Thank you for your reply. Actually I'm currently doing a similar workaround. The problem starts whenever I change the text of the annotation (I have a word file having all annotations that I need to add to the video). Once I paste the new text, the size of the annotation is changed and I have to resize and reposition it again which is the actual pain.

something to try ...

after sizing/positioning a callout, right click it [on timeline] and copy properties; with new callout on timeline, right click and paste properties

alternatively, size/position, and stick the callout in Library, or Favorites [in 2020]

The link to the tutorial no longer works.  I don't know how docsope managed to access the tutorial.
Anyway, I sometimes find it very helpful to stick the callout in Library as suggested by kayakman.
