I have downloaded trial version 8.5.2 (Build 1999), using Lenovo i7, 12 GB, with Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit, not using vmware...

Once studio is opened and I click on "Record the screen" option on top left, studio gets minimized but "Recorder won't open without any message", tried many tips from net, but can't figure out.......please help.......

Can you tell us if the Recorder works if you just open the Camtasia Studio Recorder without doing through the Main Interface of Camtasia Studio ? It could be possible that a setting needs to be changed if it is minimizing the Recorder to the Taskbar.

When it comes to what you are recording for the dimension settings what are you using ? Full Screen, Select an area or something else. Would it be possible to upload screenshots or if possible a video to show us what is happening ? Let us know and sorry for the issue you are experiencing.

Thanks for posting and have a great day/night.
