Camtasia Studio 8- problem with rendering

Hi there,

I've wanted to produce audio file in camtasia. It's mp3 file which takes 3 mins and 21 secs. This audio is changed and processed song. The problem is- if I follow production rules (file> produce and share...> custom production settings> next> mp3 audio only> next> next> finish) and now window pops- Rendering Project, Rendering mp3 file 0.0%. But that's all! I've had this communicate like half an hour and it's still 0 per cent! When I clicked it- there's "no answer" issue. "Camtasia Studio doesn't respond" and 2 options- close programme or wait until programme will start to respond". I add that when I render some other, much larger video (e.g. mp4) there aren't any problems.

My laptop:
-Processor: CPU Type Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4210M CPU @ 2.60GHz
-RAM memory- 8GB
-Windows 8.1 Enterprise (64 bit system)
-Graphics chipset: AMD Radeon R5 M230 Series

Thank you in advance for your answer, I hope you can help me!

Wow! Thank you Joe! This time it worked. But strange thing is that I can do it only in .wav format. If I try to render in .mp3- again 0.0% crash. Do you know why these things happen?

This is a bit of a guess  on my part.

I'm thinking that the mp3 codec might be missing or corrupted from Camtasia's rendering engine.

A repair install of Camtasia is quicker and easier than a complete reinstall to correct this. It will leave most of your personal preferences and settings unchanged.

You could try a fresh download and complete reinstall if that doesn't work.

You can download and install a new or an older version from this link.

Or contact tech support. I don't know if their still officially supporting Camtasia 8 or not. Odds are, they would help you anyway.

I can tell you this.Camtasia 9 doesn't export to MP3 at all. So upgrading to Camtasia 9 won't help you with this issue.
