Camtasia studio 8 recording recovery

Ok, so I was recording a game with Camtasia Studio 8, and my computer overheated. When I started it back up, Camtasia notified me that there was an unfinished recording, as it should. When I click recover, it starts recovering (just really slowly) but when it gets to 99% I get a notification that the program has stopped working and will now close. It has done this to me three times now, and it is getting annoying to wait for 20 minutes for recovery that doesn't work. I really want to get this recording back, is there any give for this?

Thanks,

-Zach

Hi 99,

I'd recommend opening a ticket here- https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-u... We could take a look at the crash log to figure out why recovery isn't working.

One thought - is there enough free had space to write the recording to file? (If ur temp folder is on ur C drive, you might need to clear up to 2x the size of your recording file to be able to save it)

Regards,

Aaron

Thank you to both of you, I will submit a ticket. Hard drive space is not a problem, I have a few hundred GB free.
