Camtasia Studio 8 Saves File Space

As a result of Apple abandoning its legacy operating system I needed a way to repurpose Authorware programs I had been selling on CD-ROMs. I used Snagit to capture my 10 year old Authorware program as video. I then did a few edits in Camtasia outputting MP4 files. Since my programs consist of narrated slide shows Camtasia converted to MP4 without increasing file sizes. Camtasia is smart enough to only render a photo once unlike all other video editors I have seen. This allowed me to deliver programs that would work on every device from iPhones to digital TVs and not use up all the owners file storage.

In the past year I have been developing courses for This lets viewers see my content in the Cloud. So far I have published 6 courses and 64 lessons. Each lesson varies from 5 minutes to 15 minutes. I am now completing a seventh course on America’s Great Loop (see The MP4 files are uploaded to which requires interactivity by inserting quiz questions every 2-3 minutes. In future I will be re-purposing additional boating programs I own and developing new RV Touring programs on states and provinces in the US and Canada.
