Camtasia Studio 9 GUI: Not productive at all

I don't know what target audience you had in mind when designing the Camtasia Studio GUI, but these annoying tab strips are keeping me from producing my work in a streamlined manner.

Almost any setting is never right available without selecting another tab, either on the left or on the right.

I'm working at a 27" monitor with 1920*1200 pixels resolution, so I do have plenty of space for all the settings being available right from the start - without those tab strips all around.

There is so much unused whitespace in the GUI, I could zoom the GUI to 50 % and still be able to easily hit all the buttons with the mouse pointer.

This GUI may be valuable using a handheld, but it's a smack in the face for professionals working with large equipment.

Hi. I think it'd be nice if it was possible to either "tear off" the panels, similar to the way panels work in Photoshop, where they can be docked or "floating".
