Camtasia Studio 9. It is any loss in quality after recording, editing and then export the video using a lossless codec? instead of exporting to mp4?

Hello,
Correct, you could use custom settings to save your clip as an AVI file with no compression applied. I've done this where I needed to create sub clips to bring into a larger project in only render as MP4 in the final stage . Hope that helps.

Hi Timbre4, thank you for your reply. Iv'e done that before the bad thing is if i record in avi instead of trec, mouse editing won't work. So, saving into trec file as soon as im done recording won't imposes any quality loss right?

trec is not an outputĀ option it's a file format. Your saved trec file is the original container; it's essentially an AVI with header data for mouse, etc. I just capture in AVI mode as I have no mouse concerns. Trivia: trec files do include an option to extract to AVI.
