Camtasia Studio should support quizzing that can be posted on Youtube. Camtasia Studio is a nice product but for educators having to post on ScreenCast is additional costs. H5P supports this function to Youtube and TechSmith should as well or partner with H5P so I can add testing in CS and export to Youtube.

Hi there

Are you able to point to a living example of H5P supporting this function on YouTube?

If so, that would be great as the Camtasia development team would be able to see something and it might cause some innovation.

Cheers... Rick :)

Hello again

Admittedly I had never heard of H5P until this morning. I did find the site and have been looking at what it does.

I stand to be corrected here, but in some ways it seems to work exactly as Camtasia does. From what I'm seeing, there is no function that allows you to create a quiz, then somehow upload it to YouTube and have the quiz still work.

It seems to offer a framework or HTML that allows adding interactivity to a video that may be hosted on YouTube. This seems to happen in much the same way Camtasia works. By allowing invisible layers on top of the video.

I'm guessing that this is the functionality you are looking for? An ability to not really create the video in Camtasia, but somehow allow configuring it so you can just use pretty much any YouTube video as your "source" and add the Camtasia interactive hotspots and quizzing to that?

Cheers... Rick :)

I also agree this is really important. I am been on the fence about purchasing a personal copy just due to this issue. I think most people want to host on youtube, so having the quizzes work there would really make the program stand out vs other video editors.

Especially now with the COVID issue and so many teachers needing to teach online. It would be really nice to have the quiz integrated with the video, and it's too much data to do directly with some LMS.
