This conversation has been merged. Please reference the main conversation: Adjust the UI color & contrast

Please make a new version of Camtasia Studio 8.6 and call it 8.7  and give it the stability of 9.0, but not the UI.

LOL, when I would say things such as this as a child, my father always had a pat answer for me. It went something like this...

Well son, want in one hand and spit in the other and see which hand gets full faster. ;)

The thing is, there are likely to be no further updates to version 8. At this point, the best we can hope for is that TechSmith provides some options for UI color schemes. (Light vs Dark, etc)

Cheers... Rick :)

I just got notification my refund for 9.0 has just gone through, so now I start looking for a new brand of editing software to use.

I am 1,000% in favor of Camtasia 8.7 for two reasons.

1. TechSmith COULD NOT possibly make Camtasia 8.7 WORSE than Camtasia 9.0.1
2. It's going to take 3-4 YEARS until Camtasia 10 comes out and we can only pray that it is not as BAD/WORSE than Camtasia 9.0.1.

Hi and thanks for submitting your idea!

As outlined in our New Community Processes post, feature requests are open to voting up through the 1st of the month (this month is slightly different, due to the holidays) where we will then tally the votes and present the findings to our product teams. To ensure we have the most accurate data, on the 1st of the month we will be locking the threads that were listed in the Feature Request Round-up that was posted on the 15th. Once we have reviewed the submitted feature requests, our product team(s) may respond to the request, and if that is the case then that thread will then be unlocked for further discussion.

In the event that your idea is not selected for a response feel free to resubmit the idea and share it with your colleagues to garner as much exposure as possible!

Thank you again for your idea and we look forward to hearing more from you!
