I use both Snag-It and Camtasia. I find myself looking for a borders on my text in Camtasia and it's not there.
I want it because the background image sometimes has many colors and it's difficult at times finding something that pops enough to my liking.
Allowing a border slider and color just like in Camtasia would benefit me.
Thanks for listening.
You can take advantage of the "Drop Shadow" effect.
Set align to center, and offset to zero, then set the blur and opacity up and you'll get an effect similar to what you see below with the ABC text.
Again, it's not perfect, but it can be done without leaving Camtasia.
I voted yes for your idea.
However, I can't understand why anyone would offer a workaround for stroked text. And not embrace a feature that's eliminates the need for the workaround?
At least, nobody who's offered workarounds at this point. Is voting for this feature?????
A drop shadow is better than nothing but it's less than ideal.
Sure, you can jump through hoops and create Text/Titles in SnagIt, Photoshop and a whole host of other programs. Add a stroke to the text there. But that's a lot of extra steps.
Oh well, that's why we vote. Or NOT.
Moving images in and out from Snag-It seems like a good work around, but really only for me. If my team needs to make changes to the content it gets a bad rap.
I'll provide you what I am doing now, and that is drawing a box and making it 50% opacity.
However I would like to see this in a list of changes submitted to TechSmith.
