Camtasia Trial version 9 - crashes when trying to render at 73.1% every time

Preview looks great, but rendering crashes every time at 73.1% no matter what I select for the output location.  It's my first project, saves fine, looks good, but when I try to generate the MP4 (any resolution), gif or putting out to google drive, darn thing crashes consistently at the same place 73.1%.  Hard to evaluate something when you can't even produce one project to see it. :-(  I'm running with Windows 10 Professional x64 and just downloaded the trial copy of Camtasia 9 so on the first day of 30.  Anyone have ideas or have seen this?

Hello,

Lots of variables to consider. What is the running time and what are the dimensions (resolution) of the project? Do you have enough disc space? You might want to create a quick smaller project as a to see what's up in your environment.

Thanks for the reply.  Understood - The project is small and 44 seconds long.  197KB for the tscproj file.  Contains 9 images at about 640x480 px and totaling about 1.75MB.  They are all jpeg files and optimized for speed.  Same images I used for a slideshow with CSS, but wanted to move to having more control of the project which is why I went with Camtasia.

All in all, I wouldn't consider this a big project, but guess it is up for interpretation since this is my first using this software.  Disk space isn't an issue as I have TB's available on the same drive, 24GB RAM with an intel i7 2.50GHz Quad Core 8 Logical Processors.  Internet speed in case that is of concern for rendering, I'm at 135mbps download and 10mbps upload. :-)  Doesn't sound like a hardware configuration issue, seems more like some limitation to the trial version??  I've been in the software industry for 35 years so seeing an app crash at 73.1% every time, it isn't happy about something.

The behavior is that rendering is going along, comes to the 73.1% mark, windows report the app is not responding, gives you a close button and then after about 10 seconds - it shuts the app down.

Definitely not a large file! You've got the horsepower, . FWIW, I've been using CS for about 12 years with projects between 3-30 minutes, has always worked well for me.
EDIT: Pros arrive with impeccable logic!

this was perfect!  Thank you.  I found that the "bounce effect" I added about 41 seconds into the video was causing the problem.  I removed it, added the image back in and everything saved this time. :-)
