Is there a way to assign a passing score threshold in Camtasia 8 quizzes to be passed through to an LMS? Other SCORM compliant programs allow you to set a pass/fail level and I can't find it.

This is a very nice feature to have in Camtasia. Additionally, I'm having problems with getting the detailed results of the quiz added in Camtasia to report on my LMS (Litmos is the LMS we're using). I can get detailed results when using Articulate Quizmaker '09 but so far have only been able to get a test score when using the quizzing feature with Camtasia 8.0.2.

Is anyone else able to get detailed Camtasia quiz results on their LMS? I have reached out to the LMS tech support to see if the issue might be on their end.

Thanks!

That is usually on the LMS side. At least that was my experience with our LMS provider which is Helius.

Thanks for the feedback. Did you get any response from Techsmith on your pass/fail threshold question?

Camtasia Studio 810 allows you to set a minimum passing score. Producing down the custom production settings route, when you get to the 'Quiz Reporting Options' page, choose 'SCORM options...' and you'll find it here:

I have Camtasia Studio 8 and I am missing the Quiz Success and Completion Requirement sections on that screen. What is going on?

Are you on 8.1.0 or later? Also, i think you will need a quiz on your timeline and not be using the multiple-files production option.

I am on 8.0 right now. I definitely have a quiz entered on the timeline. Will switching to 8.1.0 make a difference?

Hi - i created scorm files that have short answer quizzes and essentially, I want them all to just pass automatically. but i set the threshold to 0 i.e. I dragged that bar in the above screenshot to the lowest end. But when I'm taking the quizzes in the lms (administrate) it just shows as failing every time. did I do something strange?

Short answer questions aren't graded so we wouldn't do anything with success_status in SCORM 2004; those would always show as failing. If you're using SCORM 1.2, we only send lesson_status so what might work would be to set a completion percentage; that should set lesson_status to "complete" upon viewing that percentage of the video, so that may not count as failing.

hi kevin - I ended up creating multiple choice + t/f to circumvent this issue. I set the passing threshhold to 100% - a.k.a all the questions must be answered correctly. But when I took the quiz in the LMS (Administrate), I chose all the wrong answers and even then I did not get prompted to take the quiz again, it simply ended the video. Did I do something wrong? Is this the expected behavior? Thanks.
