Camtasia Keeps on Crashing!

I am desperately in need of help! Camtasia keeps on crashing! This doesn't just happen occasionally, this happens so often that I can't finish any project at all. I keep on getting a message that it ran inrto an error or something.

It started when I was editing a video as normal. I added a file to the timeline that was quite large. The program quickly crashed. I wasn't surprised that time because it was an hour-long audio file. I opened the program again and the auto-save really helped me out. I used a different audio file that was much shorter that next time, but the program crashed again. This is when I started to go into panic mode.

I even started to edit from scratch again and it still keeps on crashing! I finally tried to fix it myself and updated it to 8.1.0, but that made it worse. It would crash as soon as I opened it!

So I decided to un-install the program and make sure that I deleted every memory of that program on that computer about Camtasia. I even deleted all of the past videos I made with Camtasia! I then re-installed the program, but still no luck, but this time I was still able to render the videos. The first time I rendered it, the program crashed at 49.9% done. Same with the second time. The third time I tried it crashed at 96.9% done. Same with the fourth, and fifth. I can't get anything done with this program because of this problem.

If somebody can please help me with my issue, that would be the greatest thing in the world. I really don't want to switch another video editing program.

I am using Windows XP Media Center Edition System Pack 3 by the way. I know. I am really outdated, but Windows * and & cost too much for me.

Do think I have never tried to fix it myself? Do you really think I am that stupid?

Beau I did not see where anyone was calling you stupid and no I am sure noone thinks you are. They are just simply saying that with your current situation then submitting a Support Ticket to TechSmith would probably be the best thing for you to do with better results as that is what they are there for.
