Love Camtasia Mac. We've been making some pretty animated videos, with a mix of screen recording. But, a recent project, ~20 minutes of material, has really bogged done Camtasia. I don't think it's my machine. Can performance be a major focus for Camtasia 3.0?

I'm on an early 2011 MacBook Pro, Quad Core (i7) 2.2 Ghz with 8GB RAM using Camtasia 2.6.1.  I inspected CPU, memory and hard drive IO in Activity Monitor during an export of a multi-layered project of approx 30 mins in length, and it took 1-2 hours to export.  During that time I noticed that the CPU utilization never really maxed out.  Moreover, not all of 8GB RAM were used, and IO wasn't bottlenecking.  I'm also using a solid state drive from Other World Computing (their 3G version).

I'm wondering if Camtasia is really taking advantage of the hardware.  It gives me pause to upgrade hardware when none of the hardware is being fully maxed by the export process.
