I am happy to let you know that TechSmith has released Camtasia Relay 4.0.2. Camtasia Relay 4.0.2 adds some features that have been requested by many users as well as fixing some issues we’ve identified. The Camtasia Relaydownload link is now available and visible from our website. When you get to the download page, you will see 3 options, one for trial users, one for upgrades and one for new installations. Simply select the option that is right for you and you will be provided the information and download link that you’ll need.

We’ve included several updates to the software and here are a few features and changes we would like to point out.

Publishing notifications are now available for Moodle 2.0 and newer
Webcam picture-in-picture has been added to our WVM, MP4, iPad, and iPod encoding formats
We have discontinued testing and support for the Camtasia Relay recorder on Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) . If you have users that are still on the Leopard OS, versions 4.0.1 and earlier of the Recorder will still work with this new server version.

Camtasia Relay 4.0.2 is available at no additional cost to anyone that has licensed Camtasia Relay 4 or newer and to anyone with an active maintenance contract. You will need your Camtasia Relay 4.x license key to install the upgrade. If you want to see the full version history click here.

Kind Regards,

Rob Mowid
Product Manager

Note that PPT add-in doesn't install with Relay 4.0 on Win7/Office 64bit. The installation process should make users aware of the incompabillity.

Hi! I've forwarded your feedback to the development team. Are you looking for the recorder installer to make you aware? Or, are you more interested in the server installation side of things? Just trying to get a feel for your situation, to make sure I'm facilitating conversations in the right places!

Our campus computer park is running 64 bit office/win7 OS and we have a problem when the Relay add-in doesn't support 64bit (It's not stable). Would be nice if the installer detects the OS it's being installed with a warning. Most our users are not IT specialists and just want this to work after Relay client installation.
