Would anyone else prefer that Camtasia Relay not append its own metadata to the output filename? The presentation title that the user specifies is more than enough. At least give us the option to specify an output filename syntax so that we can delete the system metadata variables :)

Eric,

Thanks for the feedback. We've discussed ways of letting our customers configure the file naming. It just hasn't reached the development stage yet with other features that we're getting into the product. One of the reasons we chose the naming we did is to prevent file collisions. I understand that in many cases it's a very long name, but if say you were to put 2 different sized Flash outputs in the same directory the title-only nomenclature would cause this to occur. I agree that what you're saying about providing for a variable-based naming scheme makes sense. We just need to be able to tackle all the additional cases of file collision that might occur.

Thanks again for your feedback.

Sincerely,
