Hey Lukas,
If it's ok with you, I'd like to take a look at your project.
In Camtasia click File-->export project as zip (include all clip bin items) and send me that zip. Please note that I need the zip file and not just the .camproj file in order to open up the project successfully on my computer.
You can upload the file through this service: http://tinyurl.com/support-upload
Please select "Logan S" as the recipient so that the file will be sent directly to me.
Last, be sure to post back here to let me know that the file has been uploaded.

Lukas, I'm not going to be able to assist you with completing your project without seeing the actual project. As I said, I'm pretty sure you are seeing the error at that point due to a file on your timeline, but I can't be sure without seeing the project.

Crashing problem :/.
Hey guys.
I've written about my problem with crashing at the time of producing video.
After the update, which was yesterday, I've got the same problem with it.
I thought that TechSmith has fixed this thing :/
As I said, it's crashing at around 70% of producing :/
Help, pleaaaaaase :(

make a timeline selection from t=0 to about 60%; right click; produce selection as [custom] MP4; does that work?
if so, do same thing from about 80% to end of project; does that work?
like Logan has said, you probably have some problem on timeline at about 70%; I've seen it caused by a transition or something like a very short clip [1 or 2 frames]; you may have to use trial & error to narrow in on the glitch

I solved the problem by chance: I found that what make production falls was have changed the settings in "Video info". When I leave the default, it does not fall.

Hey Lukas,
Have you tried what Kayakman suggests, and only produce out to about 60 percent, and see if that works fine?

Just group all your footage and render, it works!

okey, so, i did from about 70% - 100%, and it was okay, but then, i did from 0 to 70%, and again around 65% of rendering it crashed, but at second time it showed me a problem with one file, and i don't remember what was that problem :/

perhaps some progress ...
sounds like a project glitch at about 65%; 0 to 60% is probably OK; 70% to end is OK
make a safe backup of project
select timeline from 60% to 70%; right click, add to Library
in new project, put the Library section asset on timeline
using trial & error produce selection as, try to narrow down where glitch is exactly; may take some time but should be productive
I recently had a 1 hr 18 min project that just would not produce; I did a zillion produce selection as and nailed the offender: a single sketch motion callout that just needed its start point tweaked to free up the project; ... go figure ...
however, if you can simply redo the section that probably has the glitch, that may be faster

Kayakman, you seem like a helpful man, but can you clear yourself a little bit more? Make the method to fix this problem in numbers (steps) and make it easier for us to do and understand, Thank you.

1. identify section on timeline near where the render failures occur
2. near to but before that section, make timeline selection, right click, produce selection as to MP4
3. if that works, expand that selection to move selection area nearer to estimated fail point and repeat
4. do this until you find a timeline selection area that will not render; that will be where issue in project probably is
5. narrow selection area to fine tune exact failure spot

Hi people! I come to bring the final solution to this! Most of you will find this really useful.
**********************************************************
1 trick -Split video, if you have 2 hours of footage try to erase 1 hour and just render first hour, don't split footage with markers if you can too. Then when you have first hour of video you can open file again and erase first hour, then render second hour (this is all an example)
2 trick- AND THIS SHIT REALLY WORKS - All you have to do so Camtasia can render all your video footage it's to GROUP EVERYTHING, pictures... audio... video... all, select it and GROUP, this solved the problem for me, hope it helps. In my case i had lot's of things on tracks so this helped Camtasia render all video.
Just make me know if that works.

@LoganS...Has there been resolution on this issue? I'm having a lot of trouble with my first "Get My Feet Wet" project. I worked through MANY crashes and restarts to get to a "final project". Now, when I go to render (~12 minute vid), it doesn't even start before crashing.
I'm hoping for some resolution before I try this on any "real" work!
Thanks,
Greg
