after 5 days of working on the file my camtasia studio crashed again just after i saved the project. now if i try to open the project it will just ignore that i asked it to open the project and go to the default screen, i click the 'open project' button and click my project but instead of opening it it does nothing, just sits there as if i did nothing. i dont even get something telling me the error.
i believe that my project is either to complicated to open or it is corrupt. the project had a large amount of work on it so i would love it if somebody were to help me with this.

While you cannot open the project you may have to edit the original again. Did you use Camtasia or Zoom to record?
We are pleased to announce that that we have just released our newest and most powerful version of Camtasia. Camtasia 9 is fully 64-bit, which means that it can utilize more memory from your system. This should help resolve the stability issues in version 8.x with large dimension video or complex projects could lead to out of memory conditions and crashes. Camtasia 9 should be much more stable with these types of projects.
You can buy Camtasia (see: http://bit.ly/1L17R9t ) or download the trial (see: http://bit.ly/1tx3fNn ). Camtasia 9.x can run side-by-side with 8.x, so that you can try it for yourself.
Please feel free to post your feedback and feature requests here in our Community forums and remember, all technical support-related inquiries should be directed to our dedicated Technical Support team at https://support.techsmith.com/
Camtasia 8.x does have an auto-save function which can help sometimes, provided the auto-saved file is in good condition.
Have you tried contacting our TechSupport staff? Depending on the state of your project, and any auto-saved copies, they may be able to help you recover.
Again, I do apologize for the problems.
