Unfortunately no,
all you can do is trim the video for duration. Or trim out content that you want to delete.

If you build your desired static title page before you record the video, you could display and record the static page for a while, then switch over and commence with the recording. Then as Joe indicated, you could trim out the pauses to achieve the desired duration.

Cheers... Rick :)

Can you do that Rick? I would have thought that you would have to combine two videos in to one.

That can work, you just recording a continuous video starting with a static image on the screen. It's just that you cannot add an image in post in the editor. Which was the original question.

Sure! What I would do is build that static page. Likely using PowerPoint. Then when I was ready, I'd put PowerPoint in presentation mode to display the page. Then fire up the SnagIt recorder and record the PowerPoint displayed page for a short while. Then once I was satisfied with that, I'd press the Alt+Tab key to switch to the application I'm demonstrating and record the demo. Once finished, I could then trim out the undesired pauses as well as the recording of the switching to the app.
