Can I recover an unfinalized video capture?

I captured an 1 hour video, but it took more than 4 hours to "finalize" it. The lap top had no more battery and turned off before the video was finalized. Now I can't find it. Is there a way to rescue the video?

This not the first report of a very long time being required to finalize a video. Maybe some option indicating the time required, and possibly offering to postpone finalization when a laptop is on battery power, would be in order.

generally when you reboot camtasia after a crash it will ask about an unsaved project and whether you want to recover it or not...  in the future ALWAYS save a project before trying to produce it...
