Can I Remove the Interface Effects?

I'm using Camtasia 9 to edit various 5-10 minute screen captures for a tutorial course and I keep finding myself getting frustrated with all the effects inside the editor. I think the look of the new Camtasia is really great but the smooth transitions and effects on the user interface slows down the program performance unnecessarily especially when viewing my entire composition zoomed out.

Specific examples are when moving clips around, clicking through the timeline, opening and closing menus, opening and closing clip effects, clicking on areas other than the handle on a slider, and activating the marker mode.

All of these actions use smooth floaty transitions that, at times, can really lag the software and look pretty terrible. I can't help but think that with out these, I would be much less distracted and would get better performance out of the program overall.

Is there some way to remove the fluff from this program to get snappier feedback?
