Can I split a big video into small videos with Snagit?

I have recorded a long video of screen presentation (a training session) with Snagit and now, in order to avoid having to play/forward or rewind the video in order to find/review a specific subject of the session, I would like to split this big video into smaller pieces of videos, each with a specific name (easy to find).

Can I do this with Snagit?

Thank you very much.

Sure, but they must be separate videos. You cannot create chapters or anything along that line within the video.

Here's what I would do.
Think up the names for your individual videos. Open the original video in the editor.

Save it as an mp4 with "ZERO" cuts applied. You want to save it several times, naming it after each of your individual videos.
Make sure after every save you keep clicking on the original video in the recent capture tray. Every time you create a video, it will appear in the tray and be highlighted.Plus appear in the canvas area. You'll never notice the difference because these are identical videos, but you could accidentally rename a video you are trying to create.

SnagIt saves videos to mp4 as it records, so as long as you don't edit the original recording. The copies will be created in the blink of an eye.

The you can open the named copy's in SnagIt and Edit them. They will already have the proper file name associated to them. Save them and you're done.
