Sorry!  In my last post, I failed to mention that I want to use SNAGIT for Windows.

Hi Jason, thanks for such a swift reply but, can you be more specific?  I want to know which is the earliest version that works with Windows 10 (PC)

I don’t know but I  am certain that we could determine that if we actually READ the version descriptions.

This is a tricky question.

Snagit 12.4.1 is the first version that officially supported Windows 10, but Windows 10 is no longer a static OS, so as Microsoft has released continual and major updates to Windows 10, not every feature in that version may work any longer (but I _think_ it does).

You may also find that older versions of Snagit will still work. We do not do anything to intentionally break our software on new OSes, but as Microsoft makes changes to the OS you may find that the software or certain aspects of it no longer work properly.

Is there any reason you wouldn't use the most-recent version of Snagit on Windows 10?

Hi Glen, Thanks for your answer.
I use snagit on my Mac at present and I used to use a much older version on an older PC. I recently purchased a new windows 10 PC and want to start using it again on that machine. I have now downloaded the trial Windows version of the updated version of Snagit and, because it offers me a half price upgrade, I am going to pay for that version.  It makes good sense!

Thanks for responding Ron,

You should also know that Snagit keys are universal. Your Windows key would work on Mac and vice-versa. If you associate your old key with your TechSmith account at https://myaccount.techsmith.com/MyProducts/Software it will show you which versions your key will work with.
